Students in English II are reading a short story called "The Interlopers" this week. In this story, the leaders of two families who have had a long-standing feud attempt to end the disagreement by the use of violence. However, a twist of fate causes them to bond as friends in a life-threatening situation. Unfortunately, another twist of fate happens before anyone else realizes they've reconciled; the two men pass away, and the feud continues.
The moral of the story? I think I'll let you figure that out on your own.
